Soubin Shahir, along with his father Babu Shahir and co-producer Shawn Antony, allegedly took ₹7 crores from financier Siraj Valiyathara Hameed, promising 40% profit share. After the film’s massive ₹250+ crore success, the financier claims the producers backed out of the deal and forged documents to deny him his share.
The Kerala High Court denied the plea to quash the FIR but granted temporary bail, asking all parties to cooperate with the investigation. All three accused were arrested and later released on station bail.
